At Cruzian, we strive to bring you a menu that’s locally sourced and filled with flavor. Working with local farms and artisans ensures fresh produce and products for every event. Our menus are based around Modern American Cuisine-- meaning traditional American favorites with a few inspirations from around the world.
Chef Benn Overholt studied culinary management at the Arts Institute in Santa Clara before being hired by Leal Vineyards Inc. There he was trained to execute private events, weddings and kitchen management. A Michigan Transplant, he favors classic American flavors with a nostalgic, cooking philosophy.
Chef Victor Martinez is a native to Aptos and graduated from Aptos High. He graduated from the International Culinary Center where he studied culinary management. Victor’s internship for Leal Vineyards landed him at The Grove. He assisted sous chef Benn Overholt with a few food truck events and banquets. The two decided they had what it takes to go out on their own and build their own catering company. Something unique and fun for the Santa Cruzian lifestyle.
